OUR STORY

## Brand promotion meets street performance

Sign Spinner Advertising aka The Spinjas, provides highly visible, unconventional advertising with an emphasis on effectively and respectfully marketing your brand, product, service or announcement. Our energetic, out-going, and professional Brand Ambassadors are trained to respectfully engage with consumers while simultaneously advertising your marketing message.

By creating a mixture of Brand Promotion with Street Performance, our sign spinners add the human element to advertising that is frequently lacking in stationary signs, billboards, and banners etc. Our professional sign spinners perform acrobatic tricks with their signs that instantly grab motorist’s attention. Our Spinners are then trained to freeze the sign so that your promotional message is displayed and received by thousands of consumers daily. Our custom designed arrow signs make directing traffic into your business seamless and efficient.

HOW WE GOT HERE

## From one corner in Tacoma to 49 metros nationwide

### The early days — a corner, a sign, and a lot of hustle.

Long before the trucks, the crews and the 49 metros, this was one person on a street corner in the Pacific Northwest proving a simple idea: a sign nailed to a post gets ignored, but a person who can make that sign dance gets remembered. We spun wherever we could get the work — up and down Puget Sound, out of Gig Harbor and Tacoma — learning the craft one intersection at a time.

### 2013 — The work turns into a business.

Gentle Dental became the first of the steady, repeat clients that turned a hustle into a company. One booking became a standing schedule, one corner became a route, and for the first time the phone rang because somebody had seen our spinners working — not because we’d pitched them.

### The Spinjas™ are born.

Our spinners were too good to be called sign holders. Tricks got sharper, the crew got bigger, and somewhere between Seattle and Tacoma the nickname stuck: The Spinjas. It came with a standard — monthly practices, uniformed collared shirts, licensed and insured for the specific nature of working busy intersections. Anyone can wave a sign. Precision is a discipline.

### Seattle noticed. Then everyone else did.

We turned up where the cameras already were — in a Macklemore & Ryan Lewis music video, outside Emerald City Comic Con, at the North American Bitcoin Conference, and on Deco Drive Miami. Meanwhile the work that mattered most was quieter: Xfinity found out people didn’t know they had retail stores until our spinners stood outside them.

### 2017 — We moved the whole company to Miami.

We packed up headquarters and relocated from Seattle to South Florida — a bet that the sunshine states were ready for professional sign spinning. It paid off. The team grew, and so did the map.

### 2020–2021 — Knocked down. Not knocked out.

The pandemic nearly took us out. Storefronts closed, campaigns were cancelled, and the busy intersections we make our living on went silent. It was personal, too — people on this crew lost friends and family, and our hearts are still with everyone who suffered. But sitting still wasn’t an option. Through the 2020 lockdowns our Florida spinners volunteered hundreds of unpaid hours holding signs calling for PPE for hospitals and thanking the health care workers on the front lines, and later worked the corners outside COVID-19 testing sites, pointing people toward help. When businesses reopened, The Spinjas were already back on the corner — same signs, same energy, and a team that had proven it could take a hit and keep spinning.

### Today — Home of the best sign spinners in the nation.

The Spinjas are headquartered in Naples, Florida, with local teams across Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, the Palm Beaches, Fort Myers & Naples, Tampa Bay and Orlando) and in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland and Denver. Today we run campaigns in 49 metro areas across 22 states. We spin for national home builders like GL Homes, Lennar, D.R. Horton and Pulte; for McDonald’s, H&R Block, Metro PCS, T-Mobile and Xfinity; and for the local gym, dental office and grand opening down the street. Same standard every time: hard to forget, impossible to ignore.
